Clarity Dental ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers visitclaritydental.com. It does not replace our Notice of Privacy Practices, which governs how we handle your protected health information as a patient under HIPAA.

Information you give us

• Contact form. When you use our contact form, you may share your name, phone number, email address, and any message you choose to send.
• Phone calls. When you call the office, we collect the information you share so we can help you.
• Online scheduling. When you book online, your request goes to our scheduling provider, Modento, which processes it on our behalf so the office can confirm your visit.
• Text messages. If you agree to receive text messages from us, we keep your mobile number and your messages so we can respond and manage your appointments.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server keeps basic technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. Beyond that, optional analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in our cookie banner, described next.

Cookies and your choices

When you first visit, a banner asks whether we may use optional analytics cookies. Nothing optional is set until you choose.

• Essential cookies. These are always on because the site needs them: the cookie that remembers your banner choice (vgs_consent, kept up to 180 days) and short lived security tokens that protect our contact form.
• Analytics cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) that help us understand how the site is used, for example which pages people visit. If you decline, these cookies are not set. Basic cookie free signals may still reach Google to count that a page loaded, without identifying you.
• Advertising measurement. If we run ads through Google Ads, conversion measurement and ad personalization signals are used only if you accepted cookies. Declining keeps them off.

To change your choice later, clear this site's cookies in your browser and the banner will ask again.

Google services we use

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (through Google Site Kit) for usage statistics, may use Google Ads for advertising measurement, and uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect our contact form from spam. Our contact form is protected by reCAPTCHA, and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that protection.

Text messages

We send text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them, for things like scheduling, appointment reminders, and replies to your questions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You can also call us at (770) 954-1180 to opt out.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt in data and consent are not sold or shared with any outside party for their own marketing.

How we use information

• To respond when you contact us and to schedule and manage visits.
• To operate, secure, and improve this website.
• To meet legal, insurance, and record keeping requirements.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with outside parties for their own marketing.

When we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us run the practice and this website, such as website hosting, online scheduling (Modento), phone and text messaging services (Twilio), analytics (Google), and email. They may use it only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the practice, in which case the same protections follow the information.

Your health information

Health information we hold about you as a patient is protected health information under HIPAA and is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, not this policy. Please do not include detailed health history in the website contact form. A short note about what you need is enough, and we will discuss the rest privately.

How long we keep information

We keep website messages and contact details only as long as needed for the purposes above. Patient records are kept for the periods required by Georgia law and our professional obligations.

Security

This site uses HTTPS encryption, and access to messages you send us is limited to the team members who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect what you share with us.

Children

This website is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. Health information about minor patients is handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices with a parent or guardian.

Your rights and choices

• You may ask what information we hold about you from this website, and ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us below. Some information must be kept by law.
• You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
• You control optional cookies through the banner choice described above.
• Patients have additional rights over health records, described in the Notice of Privacy Practices.

Links to other sites

This site links to outside services such as Google Maps and our online scheduling page. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date at the top.
