Your first visit, demystified.

A first visit at Clarity Dental runs about an hour: records, a thorough exam, X-rays when they're useful, usually a cleaning, and a plain-language review of what Dr. Little sees. Nothing gets scheduled beyond that without your say-so and a written estimate.

What to bring along.

Grab a photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, a list of the medications you take, and any records or X-rays from a previous dentist if they're easy to get. Got notes about what bothers you? Bring those too: sensitivity here, clicking there, that one tooth you've been ignoring.

Come a few minutes early for paperwork, or ask the front desk about filling out forms ahead of time. Parking is in front of and behind the building at 97 Atlanta Street.

So, what happens next?

You walk out of visit one knowing three things: what looks healthy, what's worth watching, and what deserves treatment, with costs in writing for anything we recommend. Most people just book their next cleaning. Been years since your last visit? Expect a welcome, not a lecture. The new patient page has the step-by-step.

Questions, answered.

How long does a first visit take?
Plan on about an hour. Complex situations can run longer, and we'd rather be unhurried than rushed.
Will I get a cleaning at my first visit?
Usually, yes. If your gums need a deeper kind of cleaning, we'll explain why and schedule it properly instead of squeezing it in.
What if I have not been to a dentist in years?
Then you're exactly who this practice was built for. No judgment, just a clear read on where things stand, one step at a time.
Can I just come in for a specific problem?
Yes. A focused problem visit gets you an answer and a plan for that tooth. The full exam can wait until you're ready.
