So, what makes it hard?

Dental anxiety has real roots: a rough experience years ago, a strong gag reflex, fear of needles, or just hating that not-in-control feeling. The first tool we offer is the visit itself: explanations before anything happens, a hand signal that stops the work anytime, and zero lectures about how long it's been.

When more help is useful, nitrous oxide (laughing gas) takes the edge off during treatment and wears off within minutes, so most patients drive themselves home. For higher anxiety, Dr. Little can prescribe a relaxing medication to take before your appointment when your health history supports it; you'll need a driver that day. We don't offer IV sedation, and if your situation truly calls for it, we'll tell you honestly and point you to the right provider.

Talk it out

Tell us what makes visits hard, on the phone or in the chair. Your plan bends around your specific worries, not a generic script.

Pick your support

Extra explanation and breaks, nitrous oxide during treatment, or a prescribed relaxant beforehand when appropriate. You choose, with Dr. Little's guidance.

Go at your pace

We check in as we go, and work stops when you signal. Trust builds visit by visit, and the goal is dental care you can actually keep up with.

What comfort costs.

Nitrous oxide is an affordable per-visit add-on, quoted upfront like everything else. Prescription relaxation involves only the pharmacy cost of the medication.

Comfort options usually aren't covered by insurance, though the treatment they make possible often is. If anxiety has kept you away for years, start with an easy visit; here's how first appointments work.

Benefits, honestly

Dental insurance coverage.

Clarity Dental is not in-network with any insurance plan, and you can still be seen here. Most PPO plans pay out-of-network benefits toward care, and we file those claims as a courtesy so you do not have to.

  • Written estimates before treatment is scheduled
  • Out-of-network claims filed as a courtesy
  • CareCredit financing available
  • Cash, check, all major cards, HSA and FSA

Check your benefits

Bring your plan information to any visit, or call ahead, and the team will explain what your plan is likely to cover before treatment is scheduled.

How insurance works here

Ask a question

Questions? Ask away.

Does Clarity Dental in McDonough offer sedation dentistry?
Clarity Dental offers nitrous oxide and, when appropriate, prescribed oral relaxation for anxious patients. It does not offer IV sedation.
What does nitrous oxide feel like?
Warm, floaty, and calm for most people. You stay awake and responsive, and the effect fades within minutes of the mask coming off, so you can usually drive yourself home.
Can I get medication for dental anxiety?
When your health history supports it, Dr. Little can prescribe a medication you take before the visit that softens the anxiety considerably. You'll arrange a driver for that day, and we'll walk you through exactly how to take it.
Do you offer IV sedation?
No. We offer nitrous oxide and prescribed oral relaxation. If your needs genuinely call for deeper sedation, we'll tell you straight and help you find the right provider instead of stretching you to fit what we have.
Will you judge me for how long it has been?
Nope. Six months or six years, the visit starts with where things stand today and what you're comfortable doing about it. Judgment-free isn't a slogan here; it's just how we work.
