Unhurried checkups, honest answers.

A checkup here isn't a race. Your hygiene visit clears away the plaque and tartar a toothbrush can't reach, and the exam that follows looks at your teeth, gums, bite, and existing dental work. When digital X-rays are appropriate, Dr. Little reviews them with you on screen, so you see what she sees.

Most patients do well with a visit every six months, but the right interval depends on your gum health, your history, and your risk factors. Has it been years since your last cleaning? You'll get a welcome, not a lecture. Start with our new patient page to see how a first visit works.

What to expect

Inside a checkup.

Cleaning

A gentle, thorough cleaning clears buildup above and below the gumline, then a polish to finish. Sensitive spot? Tell us and we'll adjust.

Exam

Dr. Little checks each tooth, your gums, your bite, and any crowns or fillings you already have, plus an oral cancer screening of the soft tissues.

The plain-talk recap

You'll hear what looks healthy, what's worth watching, and what needs treatment, with a written estimate before anything gets scheduled.

Costs, no surprises.

Exam and cleaning costs vary with what your visit includes, like X-rays or a deeper cleaning when gum disease is present. You'll always know the cost in writing before treatment begins.

How insurance works here

Ask a question

Ask us, no judgment.

How often should I get a dental cleaning?
Every six months works well for most adults. If you have gum disease, a history of heavy buildup, or other risk factors, Dr. Little may recommend a shorter interval and will explain why.
It has been years since my last visit. Will that be a problem?
Not at all. Six months or six years, you get the same welcome. We look at where things stand today and build a realistic plan from there, one step at a time.
Does a dental cleaning hurt?
Most cleanings are comfortable. Tender gums or sensitive teeth? Tell us. We can numb specific areas, slow down, or split care into shorter visits.
What is included in a dental exam?
A tooth-by-tooth check, a gum health assessment, a bite check, a look at existing dental work, and an oral cancer screening. X-rays are taken when they are due or when something needs a closer look.
