Those first trips to the dentist tend to stick with a kid. So we let kids set a comfortable pace, show them the tools before we use them, and keep first visits light. Checkups cover growth and development, cleaning, and cavity prevention with fluoride and sealants when they help.
Dr. Little treats kids across a wide range of ages and needs. When a child's situation calls for a pediatric specialist, such as very complex treatment or special healthcare needs that require it, she'll tell you so and help you get there. Either way, you'll know your child is in the right chair.

Kids' preventive visits are some of the most affordable care in dentistry, and they prevent the expensive kind. If we recommend treatment, you'll get a written estimate first. Always.
Many PPO plans cover children's checkups, sealants, and fluoride at their out-of-network rate, and we file claims as a courtesy. Details live on our insurance page.

When should my child first see a dentist?
The common guidance is a first visit around the first birthday, or within six months of that first tooth. Early visits are short and easy, and they make the office feel normal before anything ever hurts.
What if my child is scared of the dentist?
Tell us. We'll slow down, explain everything, and never force a frightened child through a visit. Many anxious kids do just fine once they learn nothing sneaky happens here.
Do baby teeth really matter?
Yes. They save space for adult teeth, and decay in baby teeth can cause a child pain and harm the teeth that follow. Caring for them isn't optional. It's the foundation.
Can you see kids with special needs?
Often, yes. And we'll be honest when a pediatric specialist is the better fit for a particular child's needs. Getting the right care matters more to us than keeping the appointment.
