Who does what, told straight.

Implant treatment comes in two parts, and you deserve to know exactly who handles each one. The surgical part (placing the implant post in the bone) is done by an oral surgery or periodontal specialist we work with and trust. The restorative part is Dr. Little's: planning the final result from the start, then crafting and fitting the crown, bridge, or implant-supported denture that finishes the job.

We split it that way on purpose. Each part goes to someone who does that part all the time, coordinated so the final tooth steers the whole plan. Dr. Little has completed advanced continuing education in implant restoration and maintenance, and your long-term checkups and implant care stay right here at home.

The game plan

From gap to new tooth.

Plan it together

Exam and imaging happen here first. Dr. Little maps out the final result, then teams up with the surgical specialist so everyone builds toward the same tooth.

Place it, then heal

The specialist places the implant, then the site bonds with the bone over a few months. (And yes, we stay in the loop the whole way.)

Your brand-new tooth

Back at Clarity Dental, Dr. Little attaches the final crown or restoration, fine-tunes your bite, and sets up the maintenance routine that keeps it protected.

How insurance works here

Ask a question

Implants, explained.

Do you place implants at Clarity Dental?
The implant post itself is placed by a surgical specialist we refer you to and coordinate with closely. Dr. Little plans the case, completes the crown or restoration that sits on the implant, and handles your ongoing implant care. You'll always know who does what.
How long does the implant process take?
Commonly several months from placement to final tooth, because the bone needs time to bond with the implant. A little patience pays off with stability that other options can't match.
Are implants painful?
Placement is done under local anesthetic by the specialist, and most patients say it was less uncomfortable than they expected. The restorative visits here are typically the easy part.
How long do implants last?
With healthy gums, good home care, and regular checkups, implants can last decades. The crown may need replacing over the years, like any dental work that gets used every day.
Why do implant costs vary so much?
Because every case is different: the number of implants, any prep work, and the type of final restoration all change the total. A written, itemized estimate takes the guessing out of it.
Does insurance cover dental implants in Georgia?
Plans differ a lot. Many PPO plans pay toward parts of implant treatment at out-of-network rates, and Clarity Dental helps you find out what your plan pays before you commit.
Is an implant worth the cost versus a bridge?
Often, over the long run, since implants don't lean on neighboring teeth and can last decades. The honest answer for your mouth comes from a consultation with both options priced out.
What are my options for missing teeth in McDonough?
Common options are an implant-supported tooth, a fixed bridge, or a removable denture or partial. Dr. Little walks through each one with written costs.
